Our portage yokes are fabricated from 13/16'' Ash with straight grain to produce the necessary flexibility during use.
Our experiance is that this is the wood of choice for the demanding rigors of portaging.

Our pads are constructed of layered closed cell foam, covered with marine grade vinyl
fastened to 3/4'' treated plywood, along with stainless steel fasteners and an aircraft grade aluminum backing plates
- Pads are adjustable with wingnuts to clamp into desired position.
THWARTS - Ash Standard
* Thwarts are 5/8'' thick - other wood available on request.
